Anyone else have a maspyr?

Does anyone else out there have a maspyr? I am interested in how they turned out. How big did they get and what was their disposition etc. I find it difficult to find out much -about this breed on the net. I have a maspyr that was born 7-24-09 and I have graphed his age vs weight in comparison with a couple of full blood english mastiffs so as to maybe record some information that has been difficult for me to gain.

This is the story of my life. My dog is the most retarded and ridiculous creature ever put on the planet. Im almost positive that at some point he was dropped on his head or used in some failed medical experiment. He will not leave my side and it's so annoying to be followed around by a 100 lb slobbering, clumsy, hair ball that thinks the only way to walk is to do figure eights in between my legs as Im walking. I smile so big when I see him though that all the chewed remotes, headphones, hair covered comforters and ticks pulled off him are worth it.

Our dog is intelligent , playful and inquisitive she obeys commands most of the time. She does like to bark at anything she thinks is invasive to the yard. She absolutely loves to track with her nose to the ground when walking on the leash,she does get distracted easily by smells she is tracking, but is easily re-focused . If let off leash she can outrun very quickly, and loves the chase. Cookie is a good example of this breed with great temperment and is outright fun for our family to have around <3

English Mastweiler

I have had alot of different breeds of dogs. Some mixed breeds some purebreds. But I have got to comment on the English mastweiler this is the most amazing dog. He is very smart and very well behaved. He plays with my toddler grandchildren and has yet to knock anyone down. It is like he knows he has to be gentle. His best buddies are my chi Javi and our Lassa Teddy. They play and play even now as a 4 month old puppy he understands that he has to use a gentle mouth. And these boys play in fact I sometimes have to tell them to take it outside. Hunter is going to start obedience training on Monday. He should do really good as he already sits stays and lies down and stay. He also comes when he is called even if he is outside. At 4 months old he already weighs 50lbs and still has not grown into his feet. He is going every day. He has been so much fun. My husband is even taking his picture to work to show his co workers. I do not think he has ever taken one of our kids pictures to work. So you can see how Hunter rates at our house.

Logan's Fourth Play Group

On Sunday we took Logan to his fourth play group. When we pulled up the other play group was just finishing up so we waited in the car. He saw the other dogs and was very good. I sat in the backseat with him and gave him treats when he looked at the other dogs without reacting.

When we got out of the car he was over-excited and barking as usual. We got into the yard and went to our corner to work on calming him down. He is definitely calming down quicker each time which is great. He did really good with most of the dog but there was one Buddy (a Puggle, who he continually wanted to run, lunge and bark at. The trainer thought this was because Buddy was running around a lot and was very active. The other dogs were active at times as well just not quite as much. By the end he was relatively close to Buddy without reacting a few times so that was great. He starts a Shy & Fearful class on Thursday. I am hoping this will help!

Swollen Nose & upper lip

I was so terrified last night that I almost cried.
Bentley was playing outside the entire day & at around 17:00 when I went to bring him in I got a shock.
Around his nose & upper lip had swelled to about 6 times the normal size. It looked so painful & scary.
& as being a Sunday I didn't know what to do because every vet or clinic was closed
It was so bad that it totally covered his lower mouth. His nose was completely extended forward , far past his lower mouth.
His eyes were closing slowly & then opening again whilst he was standing, he never did that before.
I gave him plenty of water & made a treat soft meaty meal for him as I was afraid his nose would get hurt trying to east his chunks.
I was so terrified I just held him in his blankly & monitored his heart beat.
I quickly googled it & checked that it has happened to dogs before & owners say that it could have possibly been an insect bite or spider bite.
I barley slept, I heard him howling in his room this morning. I fed him & let him out again.
When I left him this morning he seemed to be jumping & back to his adorable active self again.
His eyes were clearing up & the swelling was almost gone. I was so relieved. I didn't want to leave him today but I had to be at work.
I played with him allot this morning & he seemed much more active than last night. It was just such a shock to have seen that, it looked like out of this world.
I am just glad that he is O.K. & I pray that this doesn't happen again
