Appearance: The Chiranian has a distinctly round head, tapering muzzle, large, round eyes and moderately sized, erect ears. Their long body and short limbs can be covered in a short to very long coat.

Size: A fully-grown Chiranian is between 6 to 9 inches tall and weighs between 2 to 10 pounds.

Temperament: The temperament of the Chiranian may vary. They are generally good-natured, affectionate, protective dogs that enjoy being close to their family. They are very courageous which makes them a great watchdog. Chiranians seem to love everyone they meet.

Family Dog: The Chiranian gets along well with other dogs and cats.

Color: The coat of a Chiranian can be brown, gray, gray-blue or tan.

Grooming: The Chiranian requires frequent brushing to keep the skin and coat healthy.

Training: The Chiranian may be a bit stubborn but is typically eager to please its owner which makes them very responsive to training.

Behavior: The Chiranian is full of energy and loves to play with people and toys.

Weather: The Chiranian should not be kept outside in extreme weather conditions especially cold weather.

 

Exercise: The Chiranian can get sufficient exercise indoors, but they would love a walk or outdoor romp in a fenced in area.

Living Arrangements: The Chiranian is well suited for indoor or apartment living.

Health: Hybrids my suffer from any of the health conditions that affect either of the parent breeds. There are currently no known health issues specifically associated with the Chiranian.

Litter Size: The Chiranian can have a litter size ranging from 2 to 8 pups.
