Appearance: The Ski-Border has the body and coat markings of a Border Collie except smaller. The head and face resemble the American Eskimo Dog. The tail is also curled like an Eskimo's tail.

Size: The Ski-Border is a medium-sized dog around 20" tall when fully grown.

Characteristics: The Ski-Border likes to herd and chase things but are not big on retrieving.

Personality: The Ski-Border is a very intelligent dog who is eager to please, very playful and loves attention.

Temperament: The Ski-Border is a very obedient, loving and playful dog.

Family Dog: Ski-Borders may need some encouragement to tolerate children id they were not raised around them.

Companionship: The Ski-Border makes an excellent companion. They are loving yet independent dogs.

Feet: The Ski-Border has dainty rabbit feet.

Tail: The Ski-Border's tail is bushy like a Border Collie's but curled like an Eskimo's.

Color: The coat of the Ski-Border is typically Black & White.

 

Coat: The Ski-Border has a double coat with a grey/brown downy undercoat and black topcoat with white markings in the distinctive Border Collie pattern. The coat may lay down like a smooth-coated Border with a slight ruff on the neck.

Shedding: The Ski-Border is a high shedding especially when the season changes.

Grooming: The Ski-Border's double coat requires a lot of brushing.

Training: The Ski-Border is a highly trainable dog.

Behavior: The Ski-Border has has the Border Collie's desire to please and intelligence. They are slightly stubborn, but highly trainable dogs. They are happy to be a couch potato indoors.

Barking: The Ski-Border likes to "alarm bark" but otherwise they are fairly quiet dogs.

Feeding: Ski-Borders need a moderate amount of food and may be proned to weight issues.

Exercise: The Ski-Border needs a moderate amount of ourdoor exercise as they are not too high energy inside.

Physical Ability: The Ski-Border is a fairly athletic dog who is a good agility candidate.
