| Appearance: |
The Pomshinese is slightly brachycephallic in some percentage of mixes and more so in others. They weigh about 6 to 8 pounds with a long Pekingese like body, yet very thin like a Pomeranian. The coat has the Pekingese mane, sparse Pomeranian hair, long haired tail, feathering on the hind legs and a semi-long to long haired coat.

The Pomshinese is a mix of Toy Breeds and weighs under 8 pounds when fully grown with an average height between 9 to 10 inches.

The Pomshinese is a hardy, healthy toy breed dog mix with an energetic, playful and loving personality.

Overall the Pomshinese is a calm and loving dog that can become food and space aggressive.

The Pomshinese should be bathed like a Pom, not too often unless needed. Knotting of the coat may occur but it is not likely. Brushing is not needed often. They should not be shaved.

The Pomshinese can benefit from confidence walking and exposure to all elements and situations.

| Behavior: |
The Pomshinese has the energy of the Pomeranian, the Shih Tzu's sweet nature and the stubbornness of the Pekingese which is rarely shown.

The Pomshinese barks at unknown sounds and unfamiliars. They can have Little Man Syndrome.

| Feeding: |
Pomshinese can be finicky eaters. You may have to try different foods to get them to eat. They can be fed throughout the day.

The Pomshinese is not bothered too much by cold weather but is by hot weather due to the coat and face.

The Pomshinese may be allergic to Red dye 40 as is common with Poms.

| Exercise: |
The Pomshinese needs a lot of walks and or time to play in the yard.

| Living Arrangements: |
The Pomshinese can be indoors but they are very energetic and love to run. They must be watched when outdoors.

The Pomshinese has very few health issues.

The Pomshinese may suffer from dryness when over bathing.

The Pomshinese seems very resistant to ear infections.

The Pomshinese is closer to that of a Pekingese which may be prone to luxating patella.

| History: |
Pomeranian and Pekingese mixes have been happening for a while now, as Pomeranian Shih Tzu and Pekingese Shih Tzu. Upon acquiring my dog's mix of 3 of the breeds (by a local toy dog breeder) research has shown this mix to be rare.
