My Border-Aussie
My Border-Aussie is a red merle named Bristol (named after the race track, not for political reasons). He has one blue eye and one green eye.
He has the characteristics of a Border Collie in body style, and tail. Also in the ears, but he's 6 months old and his ears keep changing. One week they are erect, the following they are semi- erect.

His Aussie characteristics are his eyes, and coat. The length is more typical of a Border but the texture is DEFINATLY Aussie.

He is a great dog! I grew up with a dog that was mixed with both Border and Aussie (along with other things) and she was the greatest! As an adult I wanted to get a purebred Aussie for the family, and when we were conducting our search we came across an ad for Border-Aussie puppies. We couldn't resist. What better 2 breeds to mix together?

Bristol is a shy and will fear bite. Of course only when scared (hence the term fear biting) and is very sweet and loving. He wouldn't hurt a fly if he dind't feel he was in danger. So, going to the vet is a little tricky, but he's improving. He trains easily, and was housebroken in a week. He is also very well behaved off leash. He roams in the yard freely as well as runs and plays, and when we go to the park, he is off leash to play fetch with his ball. So, he comes on command beautifully.

He is such a great joy to our family, and my kids and myself couldn't live without him.
