Unknown Mix History

History: Mixed breed dogs have been around for centuries. Some mixed breed dogs may be the first generation cross of two purebreds, some may be the cross of a first generation cross and another purebred, some may be so many generations removed from any purebreds that it is impossible to see any traits of one. It may even be possible that a mixed breed dog has no true purebred in it at all. Purebreds were all developed by humans to satisify certain needs. While the purebreds were being created by breeding dogs with desired characteristics to produce a specific breed the original dogs from which all dogs including purebreds came from continued to reproduce with each other leaving a population of dogs that have never been a part of any breed as we know them. So, if you find it impossible to determine what breed(s) are in your dog, it may be that there truly aren't any.

* The most accurate way to determine characteristics of a mixed breed is by researching the parent breeds.
** Not all dogs being represented by this name consist of the exact percentages listed above.
*** It is important to do research on your dog's history before choosing a dog. We are dedicated to providing the most accurate information possible about each breed.
