Female chizer born 09-07-2012, with two sisters. Became part of our family 11-01-12.

I have not named her yet because none fit. She already tells me when she needs to go outside.

I haven't had a baby this small in years. Relearning to watch where I walk.

I have a 10 month puppy that sometimes when walking his front legs will buckle at the knees , he also has some shaking or muscle spasm in his front legs . He was also hurt in a auto accident that broke his Femur and had the head of his Femur removed , this leg also shakes from time to time . He is very clumsy and fall a lot this my be due to his accident but this could be due to the Dane breed , he is 90 lbs. but seem to have little control of his legs a lot of the time.

Gosh - one more week until my English mastiff delivers. Well, at least I hope so! It's so hard to tell with a large breed dog when they are expecting. I think I feel movement on her belly - her teets are all leaking and if my math is correct, she's due next Saturday! She's four years old (almost 5) and this is her first and most likely only litter. So...maybe it's just a small litter. Seems like she should be really big by now. Getting nervous!

Finding the love of my life in a dog

The day I found Dudley I was not looking for a dog. I was getting to take a trip to town in the sidecar. Once he ran and jumped in my arms and took a ride in the sidecar with me, I was hooked. Love at first sight. I can't imagine my life without this big bundle of energy and his big sloppy kisses and boy does he give those freely. When I looked up the characteristics of Boxers I knew this is what I had. Although he has the body and feet of a Bassett Hound and the nose of one he is all Boxer. He jumps in one of our trees, jumps in the sidecar when my husband starts it. I don't get to ride anymore. He takes up all the room and loves it so much. Well today mommy has decided to say good bye to Designer Mixes. It is not fun just bogging every day and not hearing from anyone or having any discussion. We are sad but we are trying to cut back on computer time. It sure gets in the way of living life.

A rainy Saturday

Well today we have a very rainy day. Yesterday I spent my day at the Play All Day Doggie Day Care. It was fun but I missed my mommy. Tomorrow is an agility sanctioned run for me and mommy.

Last night at agility club it rain but we still did our agility in the rain. I had so much fun and I did not get hot. I sure was tired at the end of the 3 hour session.

Yes, Wednesday is my favorite day, it is Agility Club Day. I have lots of fun playing, learning, running and jumping. What a great ways for a dog to spend some time.

Just like I had hoped for we went walking in the rain. I got soaking wet but I did not mind. It did thunder just as we were getting home. It startled me a little bit but I was not scared.

Farmers Market

Well today we are off to the farmers market. I love going there, everyone love to touch and pet me and I know allot of the people. They are all so nice to me. It is fun seeing all the people.

Growing up there have been many dogs in my family. Mostly poodles cause thats my moms favorite breed. But We have a rat terrier and a few other dogs as well. But they are the family pets and we all take care of them. But when my Step dad handed me, Precious my 5 and half month old Bullsky (Husky Bull Mastiff mix) when she was only 6 weeks old. And he said This is yours.... And my mom goes this is yours and I want nothing to do with it... So she is mine and I find myself switching roles from the family pet to the Pet Parent. And now I'm questioning everything I know about dogs!

First off I've never had a BIG dog before, like I said rat terrier teat cup poodle are no where near the size of a Bullsky puppy let alone full grown bullsky! And I'm like Ahhhh what am I going to do with this gigantic fur ball? I think I've been doing pretty okay for the past 4 months or so that she has been mine. But I know I could be doing better.

I feel like questions run in my head all the time. How do I train her best? I've tried some small training but I know I need to do a whole lot better because she doesn't listen well.

Is she growing at the rate she should be? I think she isn't, but I could just be parniod... Like I said never had a biog dog before, She's slowed down growing a lot and I don't know if thats right or not... When do you take them to get their shots, to get Spayed? Should I get a microchip implanted in her? How much should I be feeding her? I know I've read that they are more like grazers and like to eat throughout the day but with other dogs in the house that eat all dog food in sight its hard to just leave food out. And thats just some off them...

I just think I'm a litte bit in over my head here... Any advice for this new puppy parent?
