This is just terrible that people do not take care of their animals. If you are going to have an animal you should commit to taking care of it. If you are not going to take care of your animal maybe it is time to find them a new home. I am always grooming and taking care of my dog and if an issue comes up and I do not know what to do I start asking people or take my girl to the vet. When I got her I knew there would be some cost to keeping her healthy but I am totally okay with that.

yea i just dont understand how people can get a long haired dog and not expect to pay money to take care of it. we had a dog come in a few weeks ago that was completely matted and she would not allow us to shave the dog because she loved his thick coat. i said lady your dogs skin is bruised from the matting and soon it will start tearing at his skin. she still didnt care. people make me sick. we also get dogs who are so matted that the hair on one leg grew over to the other leg and got matted to where the dog could hardly walk and you can tell by looking at it that it hadnt had been groomed in years. its so sad. sometimes i hate my job because of them, it gets to be a bit much but i love working with the animals

Courtney never give up your job. These poor dogs need you and for you to speak up for them. My girl has long hair and I brush her everyday. It is something I have worked in to my schedule. She loves to get brushed and it give us some quality time together other than playing, agility or walking. It is also a time that I can check out her skin conditon and look for any abnormalties. I brush my hear everyday, I just think bushing my dog everyday is pretty much the same thing. Keep doing what you are doing, there are lots of dogs that need you.

yea Buster has somewhat long hair and Spackle has more of the min pin hair but i still brush them daily to keep their coat healthy and to keep shedding down. I know i wont quit my job ever cuz i love being around the animals and there are a few customers that absolutely love me and how i take care of their dogs and do a great job grooming them but sometimes it just hurts to see the dogs that come in. and i also dont understand how people can complain about us having to have proof of vaccinations....shouldnt they have done that anyway? its sad if people dont at least get their dogs vaccinated....
