Living with a Candoodle

Temperament: Candoodles are independent, alert, viligant, inquisitive, loyal, loving, devoted, reserved and aloof with strangers, obedient, resourceful, versatile and territorial. Some can be shy or have dominance hierarchy issues.

Family Dog: Candoodles make wonderful family dogs because the are very docile and wonderful with children.

Training: Candoodles need firm, but kind discipline early on to train.

Barking: Candoodles are vocal dogs.

Appearance: Cabdoodles are strong dogs.

Size: Candoodles are about 20-24 inches tall and between 35-55 pounds when fully grown.

Color: Candoodles can be sandy, white, brown or black.

Coat: Candoodles have a double coat. The outer coat is short, straight and harsh. The under coat is straight, short, and soft.

Life Expectancy: Candoodles make ideal companion dogs. They are also good for herding, guarding, tracking, search and rescue, and watchdogs.

Health: Candoodles can live to be 12-13 years old.
