My Doxie-pin

I recently got my Doxie-Pin puppy just over a month ago. I must say, aside from being absolutley gorgeous and adorable, she has a fantastic personality. She is cuddly, sweet but also can be independent and fearless. She's just starting to love walking on the leash and we take her out to run and play every day. She can be a bit stubborn and give me that "face" when she doesn't want to listen to commands, but is only 13 weeks and is almost house-trained. She sits, lays down, gives paw and we're working on stay. She is the light of my life and I can't imagine life without her!

Emmy Lou

My little girl was adopted from a shelter and my vet believes she is between 2 and 3 yrs old. I've had her spayed, she's had all her inoculations. The shelter identified her as a Dachshund however I mentioned to them that I thought there was a Min Pin in there somewhere because of her leg length. Now after reading the traits of a MinPin, That's her for sure.
I've struggled with her strong will and aggressiveness with lots of affection, exercise, continuity and eating in front of her before she is fed to establish myself as Top Dog. I've had her only a month and she already comes when called, has learned to sit, and she tells me when she needs to go out to potty. At first, she jumped on other dogs in my senior complex and savagely attempted to bite their necks. I abruptly intervened and took her immediately into the home and scolded her by saying she has to be 'friends', no fighting. Now she wags her tail and happily sniffs then kisses all the dogs no matter their size. After being totally overwhelmed at first, I think she has made great strides in a month and I'm very proud of Emmy.

My Doxie-Pin

My doxie pin was adopted from a shelter at 18 months old. He is a very active, playful, curious dog. He can be stubborn and hard to train at times. Would much rather play than pay attention in obedience class. He is smart. Picked up housetraining in a couple of days. Very loving and can be quite affectionate when he isn't busy playing. No health problems at all so far. He is 2 1/2 now.
