Honey

Honey is my female PittChow and she is 2 years old. She is not a barker but she will let you know if someone is at the door or if the mailman comes by. She is fiercly independent as I try to cuddle with her and she can take it for about 2 seconds and then gives you the look of "ok, I'm over it" ha. She does not like me to cover her with blankets and does not sleep under the covers on the bed like some breeds do. I think that might have to do with their protectiveness. They want to make sure they are alert and can make sure their owner is safe. She does not like ANYONE coming into the house if I am not there. When that has happened, she shows her teeth and barks ferociously. My family members have told me she would not let them get close to her at all when they entered my house alone and would show her teeth. When I come home from work, she is the happiest I have ever seen her. A loving loyal dog.

My Pitchow

My pitchow is very loyal to me but he also has an ALPHA trait. He loves to take daily walks & runs which helps with his aggression, he doesn't mind talken bath getting comb or using dog deodorent but he is not the most freindless dog to anyone in my home or in my yard although he is not aggressive towards other dog unless the dog attachs him.

He loves to play with his football, wrestle with my son but most of all he's a big baby and thinks he's a lap dog that needs all of you attention.

The Chow in him, makes him territorial and unpredictable, the pit in him a spoiled brat with strength I have never seen before but very aware of people with bad vibes

Over all he is a wonderful dog!

My dog the Pitchow

Being a Pit Chow and hearing other people talk, I was worried that she would be mean or unpredictable. She is dominant and independent, but is friendly and gentle with me and my family and friends. This might be a little strange, but to say how gentle she is, I can take a strip of beef jerky and do like the scene on "Lady and the Tramp" .. I can put it in my mouth and she can chew the end that is sticking out without biting me or tugging.
