Sky's Story & Details
An advertisement selling Sky and the three other pups in her litter was found by myself on the internet. My partner and I had debating which dog to get for a while. My partner wanted a Cavalier King Charles, whereas I preferred Chihuahuas.. it was a sign when we found this lovely hybrid pup ready for sale in my birth town, an hour and a half's drive from where we currently live.

It was a bit stressful trying to arrange pick up, as I had work so was rushing around frantically trying to arrange cover for the evening, as the owner wished us to pick her up that day! But thankfully, luck was on my side and I managed to get cover at the last minute.

We met her Dad first, a red Chihuahua who was fairly large (for a chihuahua anyway!) he was gorgeous, fluffy and extremely friendly. We then met her mom who was a tri-colour Cavalier who loved getting attention from new visitors and her tail was wagging with excitement in no time!

Out of the corner of my eye I saw a little pup poke her head over the top of a box, and loved her instantly. She was perfect, absolutely stunning and healthy looking, and extremely friendly. She cuddled up to my cleavage as I had a look at her.

We paid the breeder his money and put the little pup into a carry box with a blanket and embarked on our 2 hour journey home (2 hours because I had to travel so slow!) I needn't have worried really, as the new pup fell asleep almost straight away, obviously completely un-phased by the journey home, or the evenings events.

When we got her home, she was a little shy to begin with, but after ten minutes or so she was bouncing up and down, wagging her tail and licking our faces. She didn't go to sleep until 3am that night because she was too happy playing. I also only managed an hours sleep that night, as everytime I left the room she would cry for me, and I couldn't bare to part with her on her first night in a new home, so i let her fall asleep on my chest.

Four days have now passed since we got the pup, and she's continuing to make us smile. She's had her vets check up and first injection and is due to have her 2nd injection and microchip in just under two weeks time.

She's a total nibbler at the moment, put anything in front of her and she will have a gnaw on it.. she's got a surprisingly strong jaw for a little-un!

My partner and I are really looking forward to watching her grow up into a stunning little dog, and are extremely excited at the prospect of taking her out for walkies.. something which she is currently unable to do as she hasn't had her final injection.

We're hoping to begin socialisation with our Bunny, Hugo in a couple of weeks time once we've taken him to be castrated (poor bunny!)

I would recommend this hybrid breed to anybody who loves cuddles, but also likes play time. Sky is a true star :)
