Delyla's Story & Details
Lyla is a cocker spaniel in a shar pei body. She sits on your foot, hates to be alone, learns quickly and on very special occasion will pee on your foot. :) She adores people visitors and loves other dogs. She is learning to be a wonderful watch dog and absolutely loves to be outside catching birds. When we are not home she stays outside in our fenced in yard and has no desire to try to escape. She is a very loyal dog but did require some training to understand she is not the boss. She is not afraid to stick up for herself. WE ABSOLUTELY ADORE HER!! NOW THE HORRIBLE THINGS: Poor Delyla had horrible eye problems due to poor genetics. I unfortunately purchased her at a pet store..... At 3 months she developed a doulbe cherry eye which required surgery. Poist surgery her eyes became infected. For two weeks poor baby Lyla with a E-Collar around her neck. For the following two months she had such bad entropion (rolling in of the bottom eye lids at which time the lashes scratched the eye causing chilling pain)that she wouldnt open her eyes. She would run into walls and constantly cry. Multiple medications brought the swelling down enough to have the corrective entorpion surgery. ANOTHER TWO WEEKS IN A CONE!! Over $2000.00 in eye surgery and months of pain for such a young pup.

Delyla's Puppy Pad

Delyla is adorable! How big was she at 8 months, do you have any idea? We also have a Cocker-Pei but he seems smaller, only 32lbs now. :)
