Chica's Story & Details
We got chica as a puppy from a pet store. She was a calm puppy. She grew up to be an obedient, intelligent, and submissive dog that everyone loves. She has short curly hair that sheds a little. Everyone thinks she is a jack russell terrier, but all say she is SO cute! Best dog ever!

Hey there! Eleanore says hi. =) It's so nice to meet other poogle owners because before this site I thought little Ellie was the only one! :P Everyone says Eleanore looks like a Jack Russell Terrier as well, but I always have to remind them that she's a poogle. So nice to meet you and Chica! (:

Yes, they are intelligent! Eleanore is always outsmarting us. Instead of most dogs who will bay and howl at the back door to be let in, whereas from day 1 Ellie knew to scratch on the back door when to come in. We actually had to replace the screen because she scratched right through it! Ellie also scratches on her water bowl when she wants food or water, something she was never taught but did from day 1. That's so awesome that you have two poogles now! Is Cosmo the tan & white puppy you have posted, or is that just Chica as a pup? Yeah, Ellie's hair does look short, but that's just because we keep it short like a beagle. If we let her hair grow out, it gets wirey and long, but never super curly like Chica's. Only right after she is groomed. :P Eleanore doesn't have any allergies, but I do! Thankfully she has the benefit of being hypoallergenic and sheds very very little, so we're able to keep her with no problems. Are you dressing your pups up for Halloween? Ellie's all decked out in a Halloween doggie shirt for now, but we've got a costume up our sleeve for her. :P

Hi again! We've been a tad busy lately so I haven't had much time for the internet. Weather in IL is pretty yucky too, but Ellie loves going outside no matter what the temperature so she's loving it! Me, not so much... :P Anyway, that's awesome that Chica is a therapy dog! I had hopes that Eleanore would be one too but we decided against it. Eleanore's "career" is certainly agility dog, which we have recently found out. Signed her up for agility classes and she is at the top of her class! Apparently standard poodles make great agility dogs, so she must have it in her DNA (though shes a toy, obviously hah). By the 2nd class Ellie can already jump multiple hurdles in a row by simple word command! Her favorite obstacle is definitely the tunnel though... we're thinking of getting one for the house since she loves it so much! Eleanore is in a class with a puggle; they're so adorable! He's a tri-tone, so with beagle colouring but the face/body type of a pug. Poor guy's afraid of the hurdles, but hopefully he'll grow out of that. I'd definitely reccommend getting Cosmo into agility though if the training goes well; poogles make fantastic agility dogs!
