My wife and I were making a routine trip to Petco one Saturday. It just so happened that a local shelter was having an adoption event. We walked by one of the vehicles with the dogs in crates, Whimsy was on the top of the stack just looking at us. When I saw her I thought to myself, that's the one I want. I then learned her breed and personality. Ever since then, we have been best buddies.
