Shorty's Story & Details
Shorty was rescued from a house that his owner abandoned,he was rescued by the people next door to where he was, never had attention, always outside chained to his dog house, attacked by a a wild animal, and no medical treatment for that. My daughter in laws parents took him in and was trying to find a home. First time I saw Shorty,I knew he was the dog for me,he looked stressed and very sad. When I bought him home on July 4th,he ran away, but 3 hours later,he returned to where his new home was. I bathed him, shaved him down a little, and seemed relieved about that.As the week went on,he showed much improvement and seemed he was happy for once. When he was hungry,he would pick his food dish up and ran around his dog house all excited. After the week ended,I decided to let him run around the yard with no leash, and when I gave a command,he would stop where he was and ran right back to me. I found he loved to run at his age,at 8 years old! Finally I trusted him enough to go out side by himself to do his business and came back to the door, with not even having to call him! This dog is truly Happy now,and seems to know the rest of his life was going to be happy. All my friends say that dog only lives for you. He gets upset when im not home, but gets crazy excited to see me come home, and waits at the door for me to come in.He loves to go outside and play, run, and jump. This dogs was thought to be aggressive because of the Chow in him,but This dog is amazing and doesn't have a mean bone in his body! I'm so glad I found him,and adopted him! I'm sure Shorty thinks the same way. He is very smart and knows what I want him to do and not do! I love my Shorty boy!
