Jax's Story & Details
I love my Siberpoo but...I can no longer control him. A couple of years ago a kindergarten student was killed in a school bus accident at the school I work at. The school brought in therapy dogs to help the students cope, it was beautiful how the dogs helped the kids deal with their emotions. I bought Jax with the hopes of training him to be a therapy/service dog. I think before this is all over I will be the one who needs the therapy!!! When we first got him he had perfect behavior. The older he gets the worse his behavior. He has already given me a black eye and two bloody noses,(ACCIDENTLY). He bites at our hands when he walks beside us, and jumps on everybody. Most of my friends and family ask that I put him in his kennel before they visit. He has destroyed my love seat and over a thousand dollars in clothing and landscaping. Jax will pull the cushions, pillows, towels, clothing, etc. out right in front of us and start ripping them, as we try to get them away from him he jumps around like we are playing and runs away. My husband calls him the Jaxhammer, because he can destroy anything in seconds, Jax even ate through his heavy plastic kiddie pool I bought him to play in. I have tried to correct him by putting him in his kennel for punishment when he is destructive. Then he will come right out of his kennel look at us with his na- na- na- boo-boo look and start all over again. We are currently trying a soft mesh mussel now, but it does seem to phase him either. Other behaviors consist of getting things off of the kitchen counter, going to the door to go out and then refusing to go outside, throwing himself on the floor, rolling over and kicking his long legs, twisting and biting at you like a spoiled two year old child. When taking him "bye -bye" he does the same thing, he LOVES to go bye-bye but can not control his excitement long enough to change his collar. I usually get beat up by him and give up, not taking him at all. He also has separation problems with me, but no one else in the family. If I close the door to my room and he can't get to me, he goes crazy and destroys whatever is closest to him, my family says he's my stalker. I have completed obedience courses and agility courses and seemed to make progress with him but something snapped over the summer, he has made a 180 degree turn downhill, dragging me down with him. I think most of his bad behavior started when I had to leave for a couple of weeks to take care of my father and then left for vacation. I work in the school system and had the summer off. Now that I am back in school and he is in his kennel (he has to stay in it because he is destructive) all day he is mad as a hornet at me, escalating his temper tantrums. The thing is I love this dog more than life itself, he is so animated, loving and beautiful, when he is not in his devil mode he is very charming. Most people say he looks like an Irish Wolfhound, with a long standard poodle build, silver/black wirey coat and the markings and curled tail of the siberian. He has one brown eye and one blue/brown eye. He is very intelligent, calculating and funny. I don't want to get rid of him. Please help me save him, he is worth the fight and I know he has a purpose on this earth weather it is a service dog, or a circus performer, or comedian, he was born to bring a smile to peoples faces and warm their hearts. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Thank You and please help my Jaxiepoo,
Gloria
