About Us

DesignerMixes.org first went live on August 22, 2007. It was started because of my love for my two wonderful Chipoos, Lacey and Logan. Because of my passion for these dogs, I thought it would be great to create a place for others to share their stories and picture with other dog lovers. That is why DesignerMixes.org was created. From there our community has grown to include a specialized site for other dog mixes as well as a purebred site. Above all I am a dog lover, no matter what breed or mix they may be.

We are trying to promote information about different Mix in hopes that more dogs will be rescued from shelters or better yet, never make it there in the first place. Feel free to browse our site to find information about the dog you are looking for. If you already own a dog we would love to hear about him/her. You can submit your own Mix information or owner testimonial for inclusion on our site. We appreciate your contributions as we are trying to build the largest database of Mix information online.

I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois that has allowed me to develop this site. I have personally developed the entire site myself and take great pride in my work. I truely enjoy seeing the pictures and reading the stories that are submitted.
