It is common for the Chiweenie to have the long body and build of a Dachshund. They may have long floppy ears like the Dachshund or perky ears of the Chihuahua.

A fully grown Chiweenie can weigh between 5 to 10 pounds.

The Chiweenie is very sweet dog who wants nothing more than to be with her family. They are terrific lap dogs once they grow out of the puppy stage. They need lots of attention while they are growing. Be prepared to spend lots of time playing tug of war.
