Size A fully grown Puggle is typically between 10 to 15 inches tall and weigh between 15 to 30 pounds.

Characteristics Puggles may inherit the Beagle's instinct to track and will lead you all over the neighborhood if you let them.

Personality Puggles are playful, affectionate, sweet-tempered, easy-going dogs.

Temperament Puggles are even-tempered, playful, energetic, affectionate, intelligent dog. They are very social dogs who love meeting new dogs and people.

Family Dog Puggles make wonderful family pets. They love to run and play with children or sit and relax with the family. They typically get along great with other household pets.

Companionship Puggles make great companion dogs. They bond with people quickly and love to follow you around the house. They love to be around people and make wonderful lap dogs because of their small size.

Head The Puggle's head can vary in size and shape with some having broader heads while others are more slender.

Body Just like most breeds, male Puggles tend to be larger and more muscular than the females.

Color The color of a Puggle's coat can vary most have some variation of black and tan or fawn in them with some white on the chest. Common coat colors include black and tan, black, fawn, silver, white or tri-colored.

Coat The coat of the Puggle is short, straight and smooth.

Shedding The Puggle is an average shedder. Brushing your Puggle weekly or more often can help cut down on the amount of shedding.

Grooming The coat of a Puggle requires occasional brushing. They should be bathed only when necessary. Care should be taken to check and clean the wrinkles on the face frequently to keep them free from irritation or infection. It is a good idea to brush your Puggle's teeth at least twice a week to prevent plaque and other dental problems.

Training Puggles are relatively intelligent dogs who can pickup new commands fairly quickly. They can be stubborn at times and should be trained using positive reinforcement from an early age.

Barking Puggles like the Beagle do like to bark or howl. They will typically bark when someone comes to the door to alert you. Some Puggles bark more than others.

Exercise Puggles are very energetic dogs without being extremely hyper. The need plenty of daily exercise including a long, brisk daily walk. Allowing your Puggle to play off leash in a safe fenced in yard or park will also help them burn excess energy.
